PDC cutter

PDC cutter is a polycrystalline diamond composite cutting tooth, also known as PDC cutter.

  • Structure and material: Consists of a polycrystalline diamond layer and a carbide matrix. The polycrystalline diamond layer provides high hardness and wear resistance, and the tungsten carbide matrix provides strength and impact resistance.
  • Manufacturing process: Under high temperature and high pressure, diamond powder and binder are sintered on a cemented carbide matrix.
  • Applications: Widely used in oil and gas drilling, geological exploration, coal mining, mining and other fields, but also used in stone processing.
  • Advantages: Compared with traditional drill cutting teeth, PDC cutter has higher cutting efficiency, wear resistance and thermal stability, can withstand higher drilling pressure and speed, and has a long service life, which can significantly improve drilling efficiency and reduce costs.

Choke Valves: Purpose, Types, and Role in Oil & Gas Production A choke valve is a critical type of control valve used primarily in oil and gas production. Its core functions are to control the flow of well fluids, kill (reduce) reservoir pressure, and regulate downstream pressure in flowlines. By forcing fluid through a small, precisely sized opening, it effectively reduces high upstream pressure while managing the production rate from the well. Given that reservoir fluids often contain abrasive sand

Introduction to Cemented Carbide

Cemented carbide is a powder metallurgy material with metallic properties, which is made of metal carbide (such as WC, TiC, TaC, etc.) as a matrix and an appropriate amount of metal powder (such as Co, Ni, Mo, etc.) as a binder. Performance characteristics Classification Production process Mainly includes three stages: powder preparation, pressing and high-temperature sintering. Application areas
